In this year 2012 during renovation of old building in Stettin (area of Stettin: Niebuszewo (niem. Zabelsdorf)) one of man have found hidden behind the old wall a lot of documents and photos and old suvenires hidden by German familly Beermann in 1945, here is article:

67 years after the war, a resident of Szczecin Niebuszewa found walled up in her apartment hiding place. And in the history of the German owners of the house. For now, only we got to know the contents of the clipboard. Family heirlooms: documents, pictures, objects belonged to the family Beermannów. Reconstruct their fate, we are looking for descendants

Postcard sent from Ubot sailor docked in Stralsund in July 1944, it is colorful. Six sailors smiling, looking at the city's Old Town.

The postcard was one of the chests. Someone put them in a locker in the spring of 1945, many years later, in 2012, subsequent owners of apartment repairs were doing. It turned out that one of the walls was much later than others. The mortar between the bricks was very fragile.

Asparagus

Found behind the wall poured two bottles of vermouth in 1933 in Hamburg. Nivea cream intact for 67 years has not lost color. There's even a can of asparagus. Cap White Fleet with a swastika. A strange pipe, carved from bone. Shaver, still glistening with a set of razor blades. Portfolio, and in the middle of coins from the time of the Third Reich. Old business card holder, which have included leads to a representative of Coca-Cola (someone brought a card to Szczecin from New York in 1926). Typewriter. Newspaper clipping from 18 August 1944 article titled "Terror Genge Stettin" about the allied bombing (the text implies that the inhabitants of Stettin bravely his forehead). Candles. Hundreds of letters. Documents. Metrics and death certificates. Books. Silver cutlery with the initials of the family. And the Bible, with a dedication inscribed in 1934

I keep my passport in the hands of a marriage Beermann. They are in surprisingly good condition. Their owners before leaving the city and put them together with the rest of the two boxes and three suitcases. Bricked up. Evacuating probably how most of the Germans in March 1945, I think you'll be back. Sure they wanted to protect the contents of boxes by czerwonoarmistami. Why do not they took with them passports?

Zeppelins

We needed several hours to - comparing the documents with photographs - have, as most of them did Willy Beermann.

An Internet helps me Bartosz, whose hobby is collecting letters and signatures of different people. Bartosz is an expert in pre-war lovers portal Sedina.pl Szczecin. Can the blurred whole set of stamps in which a military unit serving the sender of the letter. He knows the pre-war license plates. Has found many former German inhabitants of our land. - For example, this stamp meant that by sending a letter you do not pay, that he sent him a soldier - he explains Bartosz.

Beermann Willy had a car, a pretty, younger than he was three years his wife Clara and two daughters. He had to be wealthy. Much traveled together throughout Germany.

SEE PICTURES taken out of the former German post office box before 67 years

The first pictures are from 1932 on one of them we recognize today Niemierzyńską street in Szczecin. Willy's wife standing there with daughters. Children appear to be 6-8 years. If you live in, are now almost 90th

Hitler in the

Old oak in Loeknitz (today the German border town, where after the EU willing to settle the Poles) still stands today. 80 years ago was the backdrop for family photos. Willy's wife is also with the girls in front of the house in Bremen. Apparently the family during the holidays in 1935 (the family had a goose). There are also photographic memorabilia with tightly packed letnikami North Sea beach. And Willy outside the guest house in Tirol. In the photo from the zoo in Hamburg in the lens was, in addition to children, chamois. In the town of Wartburg Clara posed on the background of the monument. Deisy dog in the family home stands on two legs. On the other side of the family album Willy is dancing on the Dziwnow dancingu in 1934 is also Hitler, speaking in Szczecin from the window of the house. Silver wedding-in-law at the laden table. Zeppelins over Szczecin look like UFOs. Spring walk around the (now ruined) in the north tower of the city of Bismarck. Willa friends Teshke state, in Pobierowo (two years Bermannowie build near his summer home). Girls under the tower Quistorpha (and collectable rarity - photo taken from the ruined tower at the end of the war).

In 1936 Willy went to the Olympics to Berlin. Photographed, among others stadium Hitler's box. In 1937, immortalized by the camera in Dziwnow colonial parade. And his daughter during a family walk on the background of "back" today at the National Museum Gelding Brave. Rosemarie is also a small, probably the daughter of a cousin, as Little Red Riding Hood in the photo in the album and the excerpt from the newspaper. Caught the eye to some photographer approached. The exhibition Neu-Afrika (recreated African village) is the advertising - produced to this day - beer Schulthaiss.

Tutta Bermann (brother's daughter) in 1938, is maybe two years. Is he still alive? The photographic image of a family history Beermann breaks.

Engagement

On one of the Niebuszewa Willy is in uniform SA.

Photo fascists did not put the album. They were in a separate carton. The men in brown shirts marching street today. Potulicka. At the camp, in tents, posing smiling from ear to ear. Willy believed in National Socialism? Or was opportunist? The swastika hanging over the heads of family members adopt in the Szczecin restaurants. But the swastika in pubs it was the norm in those days.

On the street in Dusseldorf Willy came surprisingly close to Hermann Goering. When I took pictures, watched him an officer.

Who was Willy Bermann? Place of Birth: White. This town in Hawaii (now White). The reference letter of 6 June 1918, the trading company ready in Poznan, Wroclaw and Königsberg, wrote that "he was honest and conscientious intern." After the internship he went to the front. The first war had already ended. The same was true during the second. November 30, 1944, when the Third Reich was in retreat, he was appointed to the reserve. Willy took a pic of middle-aged men, standing in line.

What happened next?

What happened to it later? How to put together a family history Beermann? What the girls to the pictures? We try to reconstruct the history of Germans from niebuszewskich letters.

On a piece of the military (military communications) writes to his sister's cousin Willy, that coat is just right. In August 1944, concerned about his uncle asked for the family on the Coast. Then were already having trouble with the mail.

Of the hundreds of papers tries to locate a newspaper clipping about the engagement of Willy Beermann and Clare Hilbert. From the announcement that his father Gustav Hilbert bought them the opportunity to cruise from Szczecin, New York.

Fanning archives, we find that Hilbert was the industrialist Gustav, Gustav owner Hilbert GmbH Stettin. The boxes we find the letters that were written on letterhead, and even an alarm clock with the inscription Hilbert Sttettin.

And, most agencies were in the factory building, which after the war turned into communal house. It was found in the cache.

I love reading stories like this. I have a friend who is a carpenter and finds things hidden in walls often...but nothing as extensive or as interesting as this as far as I know.
