This is a very nice photo Larry, from the 20ltr heeres triangel jerry can in bleu/gray paint...and has the painted mark Kraftstoff/feuergefärlich on it...

that is really amazing.
i never looked at the different types of petrol tanks and carriers before but after this tread, iv earnt a lot.
thank you for pointing out all the different types ! very cool.
Can I ask, was there different pertrol tanks for the russian front? better with the cold ?

yes and no, the germans put a big white W on there cans for Winterkraftstoff.

Ian, no there was a different petrol can for the russian winter front, but the germans paint a big white W on it, Winterkraftstoff
