Picked these up on ebay a few weeks ago and just got them in the mail from Hiroshima, Japan today. Only 12 in total but some nice images all the same.

Like the negs mike!
Those officers looks incredible serous and real tacticians.
I love the facial expression of the man in the far right in the second photo. If that's not concentration.....

Thanks Ian. I agree with you. They look like some tough Hombres. The seller stated these were taken in China. Makes me wonder if these guys took part in the rape of Nanking.
I have another box of Japanese negatives I picked up off ebay last week. They came from a vets estate so Looking forward to seeing what is on them.

Wow. Those are really interesting Mike. You wonder what was going on while those were taken. If they were in China its strange to think what those men may have been involved in.

Hi Mike,

Really nice photos, the details are amazing.

The photo second from top looks to have high ranking officers in it.
Can you get better resolution scans of their collar insignia and compare here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Army_ranks ... rld_War_II

They could be either Sergeant Majors, Captains, Colonels or Generals. Generals would be fantastic.

Larry
