As many people know Remy Spezzano is the owner of the famous online book shop RZM http://www.rzm.com/main/main.cfm
He just emailed me this great example of what photoshop can really do.

Great examples. Are we looking at unsharp-mask, levels & curves or something more complex ?

In years past when i was just learning how to use Photoshop I would just use
the curves tool and then apply the unsharp mask filter. Since then through a lot
of trail and error, reading books by the Photoshop experts, and watching some tutorials
on YouTube I've improved the final results.

Hi Remy,

Nice to see your photoshopped images. I also have taught myself how to use PS and use it to colour B & W photos.
I still have much to learn as this application is quite complex. Keep up the good work and hope to see more of your work.

Nice touch ups Larry , it certainly makes a differance brings the photo to life.
